Islamic Relief (IRPAL), in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), is implementing a three-year Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Labour Market (LM) project in the Gaza Strip. The overall objective of the project “Enhancing Youth Employability in the Gaza Strip” (EYE) is to contribute to a unified TVET and LM system that provides youth with good quality labour market relevant skills and effective employment services as well as the local economy with the required skilled labour force.

IRPAL is seeking a qualified and experienced senior international consultant within the following conditions:

 

Position:International Short Term Training Expert in the Human Resource Development (HRD) & Capacity Building (CB) sector, to conduct " Effective Management Skills Course''  

Work Location:Based in the Gaza Strip

Duration:30 Working Days in the Gaza Strip between February- March 2015

 

ISTE Qualification and Skill Requirements:

· Initial or higher degree in education, human resource management/development, vocational/technical education or related discipline.

·   At least 15 years professional experience in the HRD Sector.

·  At least 10 years’ experience in designing and conducting competency based and competency assessed Human Resource Management training programmes based on adult learning principles.

·   Be an active member of an internationally recognized HRM professional association.

·   At least 5 years relevant practical work experience in the field of management of modern TVET centres.

·   Relevant work experience in the field of demand-driven TVET reform is an advantage. 

·   A high level of proficiency/fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.

·   Be aware of gender and environmental issues.

·   Be computer literate.

·   Have good organizational, report writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

·   Be politically aware of issues relating to the occupied Palestinian territories.
