New Hope and Easier Life<\/h2>\n

When Anan, 4 – year- old child, started to re-walk his first steps, joy and happiness filled his family members\u2019 life. His father says, \u201cI was despair because my child was not able to play or move easily as his cousins\u201d.<\/p>\n

He continues,\u201d I was extremely sad because he is a little child and will not be able to depend on himself if he remained the same\u201d.<\/p>\n

Anan was born with congenital malformation as a result of toxic gazes which spread because of repeated wars in the Gaza Strip. As a result, Anan\u2019s condition required installing artificial limb that will replace his right leg.<\/p>\n

When Anan was a year and a half, the first artificial limb was installed. His father mentions\u201d It was extremely difficult at the beginning because he was unable to acclimate with it because of his young age which required us to spend serious efforts to ease using it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Installing an artificial limb in the Gaza Strip is difficult and expensive for Palestinian families to pay for because of the deteriorating economic situation in which Gaza witnesses since years.<\/p>\n

Anan\u2019s father is looking for a job since his graduation from university to provide expenses and needs of his family and his child Anan, he says\u201d I was looking for job opportunity that will enable me to install an artificial limb for Anan. Alhamdulillah my dream became true by the help of Islamic Relief in which they provided an artificial limb for Anan\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnan needs to install an artificial limb each seven months. Buying an artificial limb costs a lot of money which increases my burden because I\u2019m jobless currently.\u00a0 I wish Islamic Relief to provide an artificial limb for Anan continuously\u201d, his father adds.<\/p>\n

Proudly, he continues,\u201d Anan loves going upstairs and downstairs as well as buying things from shops. Now he can do things without the help of others. I started to notice that he became more confident\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur life completely changed after installing an artificial limb for Anan, I\u2019m no longer worry about him. He can move easily after installing an appropriate artificial limb for his leg\u201d, his father comments<\/p>\n

Anan\u2019s father wishes Islamic Relief to continuously provide artificial limbs for Anan in all stages of his life. Anan\u2019s house is completely destroyed in the recent war in the Gaza Strip which worsened the economic condition of the family and made it unable to provide artificial limb for Anan.<\/p>\n

Funded by Islamic relief UK, Islamic relief Palestine implements installing artificial limb for children in the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n<\/div>
