Over 40,000 Palestinians received Qurbani meat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Islamic Relief Palestine distributed Qurbani meat to more than 40000 Palestinians on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Distribution targeted the most poor families and low-income earners in all areas of the Palestinian Territories \/ Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

The distribution was done in cooperation with local Community Based organizations (CBOs) which reached families directly where they live.<\/p>\n

The process for selecting the benefiting families has taken into consideration such criteria as poverty levels and the number of family members. Islamic Relief was especially careful to lend a helping hand to female-headed households, families living in remote and marginalized areas.<\/p>\n

Jehad Al Namla a beneficiary of Qurbani Project in Gaza, He said \u201cwhen Islamic Relief Palestine told me that they are coming to congratulate us with the Eid occasion and will bring Qurbani meat, my heart was blown away and I felt extreme happiness in the moment when they brought us Qurbani meat, not only because I cannot buy it in the normal days but also my daughters wanted to make barbeque like our neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first Eid in which we received Qurbani meat from Islamic Relief.The amount of meat which we received was enough for all days of Eid Aladha.<\/p>\n

I thank Islamic Relief and its donors for making this year\u2019s Eid very special.\u201d Said Hanan a beneficiary of Qurbani Project in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Some families that received Qurbani in Gaza Strip did not have meat for several months, for them it\u2019s a great gift that their children are deprived from.<\/p>\n\n \n<\/div>
