09-2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Gaza office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration: <\/strong>06months, full time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline of applications:<\/strong>\u00a0 Saturday, 09 June 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the continual development, review, and implementation of Islamic Relief Palestine\u2019s preparedness and response plan, in close coordination with IRPAL team and partners.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain mapping of local organizations capable of responding to emergencies for community engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Work with partners to conduct and update vulnerability and capacity assessment (VCA), risk assessment for the region to support response planning, and identify capacity-building needs.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to partners\u2019 capacity building on Emergency management through trainings, workshops and simulation.<\/li>\n<li>Work with partners to develop and test emergency response plans at community level.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute in preparation of the specifications and procurement of the prepositioned materials \/ tools \/ equipment needed for emergency response to ensure the ability to respond quickly in the event of emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure good representation of IRPAL and maintain good working relationships with local partners, international NGOs and UN organizations for the coordination of emergency preparedness and response.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain records and analysis of humanitarian reports and publications by key players.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in coordinating IRPAL emergency response when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular reporting on all activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidates must possess the following competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in Disaster Management, Social Science, International Studies, Business Administration or related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in humanitarian work, preferably in preparedness planning and managing emergency interventions<\/li>\n<li>Result-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive programing<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge and skills in emergency management cycle, and Humanitarian principles and standards.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in managing emergency interventions in a humanitarian context, and demonstrated high-level skills in project management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Demonstrated familiarity with emergency response systems in Gaza, especially with relevant INGOs\/NGOs and CBOs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good spoken and written English.<\/li>\n<li>Very good project management skills including, written and verbal communication, facilitation, and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Initiative, Problem solving and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, multi\u2013task, manage time and prioritize work to deadlines,<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work on own initiative, effectively both as an individual and as part of a team<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to
