Hundreds of farmers and families in Gaza Strip started to harvest the palm fruits which are planted in different areas of Gaza Strip, mainly in the Coastal city of Deir Albalah.

50 thousand fruitful palm trees are being harvested in different stages of growth such as dates. The Gaza Strip is self-sufficient in palm fruits.

The stability of weather and rain season contributed to the abundance of the palm corps this year. Ministry of Agriculture estimated the production of this year to be 13 thousand tons.

Farmers in Gaza Strip look forward to export the surplus of the palm fruits.
