Closing “Improving Preschool Education Access and Quality” Project

Islamic Relief celebrated the final ceremony of “Improving Preschool Education Access and Quality” Project funded by IR – Germany and operating from 2015-2017.

The project aimed at creating a national general framework for Palestinian curriculum for kindergarten stage. The Ministry of Education accredited this document, as well as new curriculum books which IRPAL prepared. Additionally, the project worked comprehensive development of kindergartens aiming at providing enriched safe, friendly environment. The project accomplished increase number of enrolled children in kindergartens and raised health and hygiene awareness.

The project was essential need in Gaza since it deals with vital sector being ignored due to poverty and bad living conditions which prevented work on this sector for years.  Islamic Relief aspires to implement other phases of the project in order to continue to support and development of kindergarten sector, as a vital childhood phase.
