Campaigning for Change
1- Environmental Custodianship
One of IRPAL main commitments towards our people and community is making the Gaza Strip a better living place for them. We believe that tacking care of our environment is the pivot step to be achieved in the way to achieve this commitment.
Islamic Relief does a tremendous effort to spread an environmentally friendly culture based on increasing the environmental custodianship awareness at different levels starting with children at their kindergartens and continues to all other different community events and occasions. several environmental initiatives are being implemented and numerous efforts of other players are brought together to stress the importunate of making our land a much beautiful and friendly place.
2- TVET
The current deteriorated conditions in the Gaza Strip along the past years left behind more than 200,000 jobless university graduates which created a whole generation of desperate, frustrated and unproductive youth. These people are trying to cope with their conditions in different ways however some of the coping mechanisms are deepening and worsening their suffering.
Islamic Relief is paying a great attention and exerts extensive efforts to spreading the culture of TVET education amongst the youth so as to decrease numbers of unemployed youth, throughout creating new opportunities for leading a dignified life. These efforts involve various awareness campaigns in addition to the excreted efforts to improve the TVIT education environment in the Gaza Strip working on both the physical improvement and soft component levels.
Assessing and analyzing the labor market needs in the Gaza strip in the current deteriorated conditions, youth will eventually earn their living through joining and receiving vocational education.
