Islamic Relief has started distributing Eid gifts for the sponsored children

Islamic Relief Palestine has started distributing Eid gifts for 1450 sponsored children from the different governorates of the Gaza Strip.

Maysara Shaer, coordinator of orphans’ activities at the Islamic Relief, said, “every year, Islamic Relief is keen on making orphans and their families embrace the joy of welcoming Eid. We also started distributing Eid gifts which include new clothes and toys for the children.”

She continued, “Islamic Relief, through providing new clothes for the orphans, seeks to alleviate the heavy burden which the orphans’ families endure under the difficult economic circumstances which they encounter in the Gaza Strip. The difficult economic circumstances have deprived thousands of children from celebrating Eid because their families are unable to buy them new clothes.”

About the mechanism of distributing clothes, she said, “we invite the children and their mothers to the shops so they can buy the clothes they like. This mechanism gives them the freedom of choice, makes them feel extreme happiness, and respects their dignity.”

She also added, “this year, Islamic Relief distributes toys for the children in addition to the clothes to meet the demands and wishes of children from the previous years.”

Distributing Eid gifts continues for seven days featured by spreading joy and happiness to the hearts of sponsored children and their families.
