Islamic Relief  launches the project “Educational Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in the Gaza Strip”

The project “Educational Support for orphans and poor children in the Gaza Strip” was launched in in partnership with the Society of Women Graduate with funds from Islamic Relief – Switzerland

The project involves 400 students at the secondary level, grades tenth, eleventh and twelfth from various governorates of the Gaza Strip

The project contracted 17 educational centers distributed within living places of students in order that they reach these centers without adding any financial burdens or wasting studying time

Students receive extra lessons in two different subjects during the year 2016-2017 and the subjects are determined according to the student need.

different activities will be offered to students during the project period: such as distribution of stationery as a kind of encouragement to students, and recreational trips and provision of psychological support to students in need for it, in addition to a group of training courses to help students choose their specialization in the secondary stage (scientific, literary or vocational) also to help high school students to choose their university major.

“Educational Support for orphans and poor children in the Gaza Strip” falls within the Islamic Relief strategy of taking care of children from aspects which aims to contribute to improving the educational level of orphaned children sponsored by the Islamic Relief and other poor children
