Distribution of winter clothing for the poor families in the Gaza Strip

Islamic relief has concluded distributing winter clothes for 300 members of the poorest families in the Gaza Strip as part of the Winterization 2017 Project funded by Islamic Relief Germany and Islamic Relief Malaysia.

The project aims at alleviating the suffering of the poor families and to bring warmth and joy to the hearts of their children. The project activities involved also maintenance and repair works for 43 families’ houses.

Islamic Relief invited the families to choose their clothes themselves, which had a major impact on their sense of comfort and dignity while choosing clothes for them and their children.

“The clothes we got will make my kids feel warm,” said Mr. Kawthar Hussain. “They now have jackets they can wear to going to school.” She added.
