Islamic Relief Palestine interest in the environment
Islamic Relief Palestine organized a workshop entitled “Climate Change and its Impacts on Population of the Gaza Strip” as part of the Islamic Relief contributions around the world in the Talanoa Global Dialogue which is an international process to assess collective and individual efforts towards achieving the objectives of the Paris Convention on Global Climate Change.
The workshop aimed at contributing to the UNFCCC. Also, Islamic Relief assessed in reviewing and revising its climate change policies, and gathering ideas for local and international climate change plans.
More than 35 persons participated in the workshop, sharing experiences on climate change.
These dialogues came up with recommendations on climate change, which will be included after being reviewed in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be presented at the UN World Conference on Dec. 24th this year.
