Islamic Relief provides health care for more than 2000 beneficiaries
Islamic Relief – Palestine has launched the provision of Health Care Services for 450 households of the most vulnerable population through the Social Safety Net project funded by IRUK. The intervention aims at alleviating suffering and enhancing their health conditions as well.
The project Officer Suha Abu Ghazala mentioned “We have started the implementation of Compressive Health Assistance targeting more than 2000 beneficiaries through specialized medical centers” and added ” the first stage includes health checkups for beneficiaries followed by a second stage in which cases will be referred to specialized doctors in addition to blood analysis, x-rays and surgeries. On the other hand, patients and disabled beneficiaries will be provided with wheel chairs, scooters, medical mattresses, eye glasses and hearing aids.
The intervention covers all family members’ needs considering gender differences and putting those vulnerable groups at the center of care especially in the light of deteriorated health conditions and rising costs of medical care in the Gaza Strip.
