“I like grey, I selected my favorite color for the jacket, I’m really happy with it, look it has a hood” Tamer Abu Sableh said.

He got his new winter clothes through the Winterization 2017 Project. This project is implemented by Islamic Relief Palestine with generous fund from IR Malaysia.

Mother of Tamer said “Islamic Relief

Tamer’s mother said: “Islamic Relief did not cause any discrimination or envy among my family members. We were all invited to get winter clothes. We all went out of the house and we came to the distribution center, as if we were on a nice family trip.”

Happiness of children and parents was beyond description, the really need feeling warm during winter and they miss this feeling. The beneficiaries’ families are among the poorest in the Gaza Strip, the guardians can’t not provide winter clothes to bring warmth to their children.

“I was surprised when Islamic Relief staff told me that my husband and I can also choose clothes for us. I thought the service would be limited to my children only,” said Tamer’s mother. “Thank are due to Allah, you have brought happiness to all of us.”

“Work was very much organized and we found a variety of high-quality clothing. We felt very respectful as if we were buying clothes from the market.”

She continued “our house is narrow; it consists of two rooms in which I live with my husband and my six children. My husband was a worker, now, due to the difficult economic conditions in Gaza, he lost his job, so that repairing the house was unaffordable. The room which we live in was not floored. Lots of reptiles and insects crawled on my children while they are sleeping. They woke up at night, terrified.”

“Thanks are due to Allah, Islamic Relief helped us in preparing the floor, repairing the roof and installing windows. We are living in a safer, and healthier environment now.”

She concluded “Now I sleep comfortably that my children are sleeping safely and protected from insects, and feel the warmth. You have restored our life, thank you very much”.
